Most Expensive Cruise at $1.5 Million
What can a whopping $1.5 million buy these days? For some, it can ensure their children’s colleges, it can purchase a new home or a car. But for others, it’s the price tag on a new luxury cruise.
The 124-day sailing of the Silversea Silver Whisper will costs guests $1.5 million. This was according to Six Star Cruises, that the UK company that organized this trip, is the “world’s most luxurious 124-day vacation.”
The trip begins when passengers are being picked up from their respective homes by helicopter, and, en route to a London airport. Guests will then sample on the Beluga Caviar, which costs $6,320 per kilogram and a tea so rare, that it’s priced at more than $3,160 per kilogram. After taking in a luxury food, guests will jet to and from the U.S. in a private Boeing business jet while a Michelin-starred chef prepares a 10-course tasting menu. The guests then will be transferred by a Rolls Royce Phantom.
Inside the ship is a 1,000-square-foot Royal Suite, two marbled bathrooms, two bedrooms, separate dining area and bar and two verandas. This will serve as the guests’ home for four months.
The cruise begins on January 4, 2013 in Los Angeles with a pre-cruise gala at the Peninsula Hotel. The guest will be able to see and experience 28 countries including French Polynesia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Cameroon and Barbados..
